I love it when I get Child to school early. But then I get home and wonder what to do with myself for those 10 extra minutes. I usually just eat a brownie or something. (Because if I got home at the usual time I would exercise immediately, so a brownie before exercise is a good idea, right?)
I had a hair appointment today, too. Small Child made friends with every other patron (and employee) in the place. Definitely not cut from the same cloth as her Mother.
How, HOW do you wake up with Girl already in bed with you??? How does the squeak in the door and the pitter patter of every single footstep down the hall not wake you? I need that drug, or whatever it is!
Snow: You know yesterday I was SO TIRED of winter. In the past month there have probably been less than a week of days in which it didn’t get into “the teens” at night. And now the windy season is starting to make the cold even more biting. But it snowed in the mountains yesterday, and the clouds around it were spectacular, and I was thinking that I would not have beautiful pictures LIKE THAT without winter. (And no, I didn’t have my camera either.) But we actually got snow all over last night. A good 1/2″ where I live, and it was stuck to everything. Child said, “Our house is decorated with snow.” After dropping her off at school, I took the camera for some close-ups of snow-covered flora. So I’m grateful for some portions of winter–if I could just live in a warm house…..
Overall, I’m glad the day started out on such a cheerful note for you and hope that it continued as such all day long. As for me, Small Child is on her 2nd nap right now; what could be better?
